Class Description: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is designed per American Heart Association 2020 guidelines (AHA). Students will receive instruction on how to administer CPR to an adult, child, and infant and use the automatic external defibrillator (AED). They will leave this training knowing how to act when a victim is choking, having an anaphylactic allergic episode, or has suspected opioid overdose. This class is recommended for clinical healthcare providers or students working in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, ambulatory clinic, or other healthcare clinical settings.

The Heasrtsaver CPR course is appropriate for individuals requiring certifications to meet job or regulatory requirements. Instruction is provided per the American Heart (AHA) 2020 guidelines. Students will leave this training able to follow simple steps to performing CPR to an adult, child, and infant, use the automatic external defibrillator (AED), and provide care to victims with suspected opioid overdose.
